MIC Internship Program
MIC requires all of its full-time undergraduate students enroled in the Tourism and Hospitality program to gain practical work experience prior to graduation. This experience enables students to acquire vital hands-on training in the multifaceted hospitality industry. This practical experience is a paid work program and earns academic credits for each practicum period (Three practicum periods in total). The practicum starts in the summer of the freshmen year and takes place in one of the participating hotels, restaurants, resorts, or other hospitality entities located across the area and the country. Students may also venture further and complete their practicum obligations in other countries. Students are required to submit a term paper related to the practical experience gained during the practicum and it is submitted every year to the Registrar and become part of the student’s record.
