B.A. Psychology, The American College of Greece Dr. Balamoutsou is a Counselor and a Psychologist. She lived and worked in UK for more than 10 years before returning to Crete. She was a senior lecturer at the University of Chester where she was a program leader for the BSc Psychology and Counseling in Primary Care. She was a FT senior lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton where she was the Research Coordinator for an MSc and Doctorate in Counseling Psychology. As an academic she has taught a broad spectrum of topics in Counseling and Psychology. As a counselor she has worked at the National Health Service in UK in hospitals and other health settings. She has been an active member of the British Psychological Society, The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and the Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR). Her research interests are: Qualitative and narrative research methodologies; Metaphor, Storytelling and Narrative in Psychotherapy; Social construction of therapy; Training issues in psychotherapy; The outcome of psychotherapy. PhD. Byzantine Philology, University of Crete, Greece Dr. Borisova’s research interests are divided into two fields: the history of Russian Language (in particular Church Slavonic Language and Greek – Slavonic cultural and language relations) and the methods of Russian Language teaching. She is an author of a textbook in Russian Philology, of a monograph and a number of papers concerning the different aspects of the Church Slavonic Language. Dr. Borisova has a large experience in teaching Russian as a second language, working for over 10 years in private schools and language centers of Heraklion and participating in the special programs for hotel administrators language training. Besides being an instructor in the MiC College she works as a Visiting Lecturer in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. | |

His career so far includes 6 years work in UK based hotel chains and restaurants and 3 years in local hotel chains in Greece. Most of his work was in Front Office, but also Housekeeping, Kitchen, Restaurant, Conference and Banqueting and Human Resources. Now, starting in a new position as general manager in a local hotel complex, in addition to this first academic role. Manos’ interests are sports, business, strategy and computers. | |
